ВСІ ПОДІЇ
This is the second exhibition in the context of the new project
"The Art of Fashion" of DIM Master Klass.

The exhibition will showcase vintage clothing from private collections and original clothing by Ukrainian designers.
Curator Viktoriya Zubenko told us about the exhibition's concept:

"Admiring the West European haute couture clothing, we do not know or do not want to know, and sometimes just ignore knowledge of Ukrainian ethnic clothing, the creation of which required at least painstaking and focused work and a creative artistic and stylistic approach.
Nowadays admiring the popular trends of hand made, we do not understand that the practices and techniques of creating Ukrainian ethnic clothing have been passed on from generation to generation almost without change, and they are priceless.

Blindly following the trends of irresponsible consumption, we do not realize the value of the things left by our ancestors.

This event starts a series of exhibitions designed to acquaint visitors with various types of Ukrainian ethnic clothing, which has been created for centuries and still inspires contemporary designers, artists, and masters.

This is especially evident in the clothing of ethnic groups living in the Carpathians, whose ethnographic identity is colossal. The exhibition also presents the outerwear of Hutsulshchyna, Lemkivshchyna, Transcarpathia, Pokuttia, and Bukovyna.
Kozhuchs (overcoats), svitkas (peasant's overcoats), serdaks (frock coats), tsurkankas (women's waistcoats), and keptars (men's and women's waistcoats) impress us with its grandeur, luxurious colors, and a fair share of handiwork".

Admission to the exhibition on the opening day is free!
"The Continuity of Feelings" will run until February 29, 2020.
