"The museums of the future: experience of Ukraine and Israel during the times of Covid-19"
May 20 – June 20

Culture and creative industry are experiencing the major hardship during the times of global pandemic, but besides the obvious loss, the new reality that all of us suddenly found in caused the changes and accelerate the novations that have been needed for a long time.

These new obstacles demanded the new approaches to the cultural experience, new methods of project realisation, new partnership, relations, new habits. Pandemia has caused serious changes in the cultural institution activities, the form of attendance and methods of interaction with the works of artists.

The event is held on the occasion of the International Museum Day as part of the celebration of the 30th Anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the State of Israel and Ukraine and organized by the Embassy of the State of Israel in Ukraine and 211 Floor online platform in partnership with the Ministry of Tourism of Israel in Ukraine and "Dim Master Klass" cultural center.

Three Ukrainian and three Israeli museums will present their 10-minute case studies on the following topics:

- Challenges of quarantine times and means to overcome it;

- Digitalization of museums: new and alternative approaches of engaging new audiences.

As part of the project, video representations of museums in Israel and Ukraine will be posted on the 211 Floor online platform. You can take a virtual tour of the most interesting Israeli and Ukrainian museums, so that, hopefully, in the near future, you can best plan your future acquaintance with them during a real trip.

You can watch the online events and video business cards of museums from May 20 to June 20, 2021 on the platform 211 Floor
