Personal exhibition " Embroidered towel canvases" by the artist ZINAIDA
On June 28 at 4 p.m. in the Khlibnya hall of the Sofia Kyivska National Reserve, a personal exhibition of the artist Zinaida Kubar "Embroidered Towel Canvases" will be opened.
The exhibition will present the author's towels made in various techniques.
The long-term research of mythologists, archetypes and worldview meanings of the Ukrainian ethnic group greatly inspired the artist ZINAIDA to create a whole series of artistic works, one of the main leitmotifs of which is ornament, and the main source of this fundamental theme is Ukrainian ornament in embroidery on shirts, towels and decoration of household items.
Cloth cryptograms, which have been preserved and brought down to our days by Ukrainian women, as custodians of a deep tradition, contain codes and keys to managing life in accordance with the laws of the universe. Numerous cultural expeditions and communication with the bearers of ethno codes gave the artist the opportunity to analyze, understand and rethink the sacred folk treasures, embodying them in the author's content.
The first author's towel, as a work of art, appeared in 2009. Since then, the artist has created dozens of original paintings that will be presented at this exhibition. Painted, embroidered, printed or decorated - all of them are the original vision of ZINAIDA, the embodiment of her artistic preferences and worldview values.
In this tumultuous time for Ukraine, people are increasingly turning to the ancestral meanings of our ancestors. We draw strength and love for our native land, and most importantly, a thirst for life from them. The unfathomable paradise of sacred images, which the artist recreates, dispels mental darkness, spiritually enlightens and makes a person happier...
The partner of the event is the cultural centre "Dom Master Klass".
