Public talk with Oleksiy BobrovnikovArt Festival Bouquet Kyiv Stage 2023. Conversations under the ash tree

Despite the fact that the programme of the Bouquet Kyiv Stage 2023 festival was extremely rich, 4 days were still not enough. Therefore, we continue the series of meetings with famous people in the format of conversations under an ash tree.
On September 2, a meeting with the Ukrainian writer and journalist Oleksiy Bobrovnikov will take place under a 200-year-old ash tree in Sofia Kyivska. The event starts at 3 p.m.
At the meeting, Oleksiy will talk, in particular, about his new book "The Red Zone".
In the book "Red Zone" and its prequel - "Grey Zone", the author reveals Russia's plans for food genocide not only of Ukraine: of the whole world. It was written a year before the full-scale war. Published: August 2023.

Larisa Huk, analyst of the agricultural market, will also take part in the public talk.

Oleksiy Bobrovnikov is a writer and journalist, a member of the German PEN club, winner of the "Honor of the Profession" contest, who wrote about the extensive network of smuggling and money laundering in the unstable regions of eastern Ukraine. He worked as a military correspondent in Donbass and an investigative journalist, covering the so-called "gray zone" - a haven for smugglers between Russian-occupied territories and government-controlled Ukraine. He also covered the Euromaidan in Ukraine and the "little green men" during Russia's annexation of Crimea. From 1999 to 2006, he worked as a business news journalist in various mass media, later focusing on investigative journalism and creating documentaries about history. In 2011-2012, he lived in the South Caucasus in Georgia, wrote a book about ethnography and ancient traditions, published under the title "The Edges of Georgia".
Studied journalism at the American University in Beirut in the Reuters foundation programme for international journalists. In journalism since 1999.
