Exhibition of National Costumes and Jewelry “Crimean Identity”
*The collection was created as part of the “Shlyakh” project in 2021.
A group of craftsmen created a unique collection of traditional Crimean Tatar costumes based on
historical sources, museum exhibits, and research on the Crimean Tatar applied art.
The exhibits have been recreated with the most accurate representation of the cut, fabric treatment,
and decoration.

The costumes included in the exhibition integrated clothing elements, footwear, headwear, and
coverings that reflect the household culture and everyday way of life of the Crimean Tatar family.
A separate part of the exhibition presents wedding attire from the 19th century.
Wedding ceremonies were usually held after the harvest, and it defined the seasonal focus of the
autumn clothing collection. The wedding costumes recreate the wedding ceremony of a Crimean
Tatar family consisting of three generations.
The project curator is Rustem Skibin.
The exhibition is part of the visual program of the Bouquet Kyiv Stage 2024 festival.

The exhibition will run until September 18.

Partners of the Crimean Bouquet: Crimean House, Crimean Front, TRO Media.
