March 4-18, 2024 an exhibition "The War Fragments Museum" is open at the head office of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) in London.
The War Fragments Museum is a unique art project designed to draw attention to the war in Ukraine with the help of cubes with war artifacts.
The project was born out of a desire to give voice to the civilians affected by the russian invasion and raise awareness of its consequences, prompting its viewers to think, empathize and act.
Objects frozen in transparent cubes provide a powerful visual representation of the impact of war on people's lives. Each cube is a separate story of survival, a personal experience of those affected by the war. The project team traveled across Ukraine, the de-occupied towns and villages, the most affected areas, to collect the stories and objects presented in the exhibition.
The exposition included 20 cubes - 20 painful war stories that Ukrainians experienced in the first months of the russian federation's full-scale invasion of Ukraine.
Through the sale of cubes, the project also aims to raise funds for humanitarian aid in Ukraine: www.thewarfragments.com
