Svitlana Shabaltina and Yevgenia Cherkazova are professors of the National Music Academy of Ukraine.They played together for the first time in 2015 at the "Pomeriggio Musicale" festival (Treviso, Italy). The sound of accordion and harpsichord enchanted the audience.
The duet's repertoire is wide and covers Ukrainian and European music of the 16th-21st centuries. Performers independently make arrangements for accordion and harpsichord.
Evgeniya Cherkazova and Svitlana Shabaltina performed in Ukraine, Poland, France, Italy, and Lithuania.They played at the Florianka concert hall on the invitation of the Krakow Academy of Music, at L'Atelier von Nagel & l'Association “Les Bois qui Chantent” in Paris, at the National Philharmonic of Ukraine and the Ukrainian cultural center “Dom Master Klass” in Kyiv. They also took part in the TEDxKyiv conference.
The duet was invited to the XIX Gliwicki Festiwal Bachowski (Poland), the "Wanda Landowska" festival (Italy), the "Bouquet Kyiv Stage" festival, the Old Music Festival in Lviv (Ukraine), the 17th Felix Mendelssohn Music Days (Krakow, Poland), the XXVIII International Accordion festival (Palanga, Lithuania), Bari Accordion Festival, FISAfest2023 (Italy), Viotti Festival (Vercelli, Italy), in the concert tour "Viaggio in Italia".In 2021, the ensemble released the CD "HARPSICHORDION" by the Da Vinci Publishing label, and in 2022 the CD "Cieli d'Europa" by DiG (Digressione music).
