The "Smart and Sensual" project is a series of lecture-concerts that began at the Bouquet Kyiv Stage 2023 festival with the concert "Unknown Ukrainian Modernism", will continue throughout the year. The final event will be at Bouquet Kyiv Stage 2024.

The very name "Melodic Noise" seems to provoke cognitive dissonance: melody is about beauty, constancy, logic, subtlety and recognizability, while noise is about excess, unpleasant, intrusive and rude. And what if they can be combined? What are noises, what are field recordings, what is ambient and how does it differ from noise? How can the music of Bach suddenly appear among the melodic noises? Ukrainian electronic artist Oleksiy Podat (Slovyansk/Kyiv) answers this with music. Curator and lecturer Oleksiy Shmurak answers with a lecture.
