The exhibition "Free City"
The exhibition "Free City" is a large-scale art panel created by 50 the most famous artists of Georgia in February-March 2023. This is an artistic sign of support of Ukraine by Georgian artists and their sincere admiration of the heroic Ukrainian people.
The exhibition is a continuation of the Bouquet Kyiv Stage festival in Tbilisi, which was successfully held in April 2023.
The protagonists of the "Free City" exhibition project are 50 Georgian artists , the pride of their country. And the heart and soul of this project is an artist Mamuka Tsutskiridze. He is the author of the idea of the "Free City" and the person who brought this idea to life.
Fifty iconic Georgian artists: different in age, preferences, artistic style and techniques united for the sake of one idea - to express support for Ukraine, love and respect for the heroic Ukrainian People.
Thus, for seven weeks, the art panel "Free City" was created, which as a result turned into a complete work of art, written by the hand of love, support and admiration.
While creating the "Free City", the artists had a big dream that the works would get to Ukraine. And their dream came true.
There are many coincidences and symbols in this story, we can say that the universe itself contributed to the realization of the idea:opening for the press on the Day of Independence of Georgia, opening for the public on the Day of Kyiv - in the heart of the capital - Sofia Kyivska, and now the place of exposition has been added - the Golden Gate Museum.
We sincerely believe that just as the Golden Gate is a kind of entrance to a free city, so the exhibition "Free City" will become the entrance for Georgia to its free future!
The exhibition will be opened from May 30 to June 28, from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Entrance to the museum by the ticket.
