Dom Master Klass organized a lecture in the United States of America featuring the General Director of the Sofia Kyivska National Reserve, Mrs. Nelia Kukovalska. The lecture was focused on Saint Sophia of Kyiv, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. It was held on April 26th at 2:00 p.m. at the New York Public Library.
Mrs. Nelia Kukovalska gave the excursus to the ancient history of Kyivan Rus and its symbol - Saint Sophia Cathedral dd 11th century.An important part of the lecture was devoted to the crucial, complex labor of preserving Ukraine's rich cultural heritage during the war in Ukraine.
Mrs. Kukovalska presented the valuable gift to the New York Public Library, the facsimile edition of the Prayer Book of the Grand Duke Volodymyr of Kyiv, who baptized Rus, and the other books about Sophia Kyivska.
It is symbolic, that the original Prayer Book of the Grand Duke Volodymyr of Kyiv of the 14 century that has been kept in the New York Public Library from now on will have a copy to be disclosed and available to the public.
