Festival of Ukrainian art took place in Cambridge Christ's College
Dom Master Klass presented the project for the first time at the world-renowned University of Cambridge, one of the most prestigious educational institutions in the UK and Europe. Since the onset of the great war, the university has implemented numerous initiatives to support our country and continues to stand in solidarity with Ukraine!
In partnership with Cambridge University Ukrainian Society, the Ukrainian art festival Kyiv Art Sessions took place on January 25 at 3:30 PM in the Yusuf Hamied Theatre, Christ’s College (46 King St, Cambridge CB1 1LN). The programme featured a presentation of the project "People of Steel", which includes a screening of the documentary film named “People of Steel”, a panel discussion with director Serhiy Fomenko, and a live acoustic musical performance by Foma. The project was held in collaboration with the Watch Ukrainian association.
*The project "People of Steel" was held as part of the international tour "Culture vs War" by Ambassador Sergiy Fomenko.
Additionally, a photography exhibition of the works by Serhiy Mykhalchuk was showcased. His photographs creatively reflect the heroic struggle of the Ukrainian people for independence and identity. Visitors had the chance to see unique military artifacts from the project The War Fragments Museum, displayed in transparent cubes, providing a powerful visual representation of the war's impact on people's lives.
For eight centuries and counting, Cambridge has remained a place of striving for Truth in the face of all obstacles, which resonates deeply with our history of fighting for human values and justice. We are incredibly proud that the story of the heroic Ukrainian people will once again be heard around the world! We consider it an honor that we met the most progressive community of youth from over 120 countries in this strategically significant intellectual center of the world.
